Executive Partners NATA Foundation Announces New Executive Partnership with PFATS Foundation The NATA Research & Education Foundation is excited to announce a new Executive Partnership with the Professional Football Athletic Trainers’ Society (PFATS) Foundation in 2025. Through this collaboration, we will work together to advance the athletic training profession by supporting research and education initiatives that enhance the knowledge and practice of athletic trainers at all levels. As part of this partnership, the NATA Foundation and PFATS Foundation will be issuing a specialized Request for Proposals (RFP) for a research grant focused on football safety-related topics. This initiative aims to drive impactful research that directly benefits athletes and enhances safety within the sport. NATA Foundation President, Ken Cameron, PhD, MPH, ATC, FNATA, noted “We are thrilled to partner with the PFATS Foundation in this important endeavor. Their commitment to supporting athletic trainers and advancing the profession aligns perfectly with the NATA Foundation mission. Through this partnership, we can further invest in research, education, and initiatives that enhance health and safety, while elevating the role of athletic trainers in the sports medicine arena.” In addition to this exciting collaboration, the PFATS Foundation will also be joining us as a sponsor for our annual celebration at the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo during our ParTee for ATs fundraising event. This is a fantastic opportunity for supporters to engage with both organizations while celebrating and supporting the advancement of the athletic training profession. The NATA Foundation thrives on building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with athletic trainers, corporate partners, and industry allies to advance the profession through research and education. Collaborations like this help us expand our impact, fueling scholarships, research, and programs that drive positive change in the field of athletic training. Together, we can achieve even greater progress for the profession, but this would not be possible without the generous support of our individual donors and partners like the PFATS Foundation. We look forward to working closely with the PFATS Foundation and supporting research that will drive meaningful advancements in athlete safety and care and advancing the athletic training profession. More details on the upcoming RFP for the football safety research grant will be shared soon! For more information on ways to support and engage with the NATA Foundation, please visit our website.
