Scholarship Requirements Scholarship Eligibility Requirements – 2025 Award Cycle: All scholarship applicants must be a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association on/by January 15, 2025 for the 2025 Award Cycle. As applicants progress through their academic career in athletic training or an allied health profession (maintaining NATA membership and involvement) they may apply for the different levels of scholarships, but may receive only one for each level. Professional Level Scholarship Eligibility Requirements Enrollment: Be enrolled in a CAATE-accredited professional program at the time of the application deadline (January 15, 2025). Contact fndnstaff@nata.org IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Professional Degree Change The NATA Board of Directors and the Commissioners of the CAATE, with the full support of the Board of Certification and the NATA Research & Education Foundation, have agreed to establish the professional degree in athletic training at the master’s level. In order to ensure that the scholarship designations match the transition timeline the following changes will be implemented: Spring 2024 will be the last year the NATA Foundation will award Undergraduate Scholarships Beginning 2025, the Scholarship categories will be Professional and Post Professional. Students enrolled in a CAATE accredited undergraduate program or CAATE accredited entry-level master’s program will be eligible to apply for a scholarship in the Professional Level category.
