About the Endowment: The Ronnie P. Barnes, MS, ATC Scholarship Endowment provides an annual scholarship of $2,300 to a qualified athletic training student in a Masters or Doctoral program.


About Mr. Barnes: Ronnie Barnes was the first president of the NATA Research & Education Foundation and also served as president of the Professional Football Athletic Trainers’ Society. He has devoted his career to promoting the athletic trainer and improving the profession. Mr. Barnes joined the NFL’s New York Giants in 1980 and now works as vice president of medical services. He was inducted into the NATA Hall of Fame in 1999.
